Cooking Meat In The Microwave During Those Hot Summer Months
Summer is here and if you are anything like me, you don t want to turn on your oven or stove unless absolutely necessary. I do most of my cooking in the microwave during the summer months. It helps keep my home cooler and cuts down on my cooling bill. I have found that many people don t like to cook meat in the microwave. I was once one of those people. Chicken would come out like rubber and I always worried that ground beef didn t cook thoroughly. I have since found that the trick is to use the right cooking utensils. There has also been some hype about how its not safe to use plastic to cook meat or anything else in the microwave. This is only half true. Certain types of plastic have chemicals that are activated with the extreme heat of the microwave and these chemicals can get into your food. Hence, the key to cooking in your microwave is, once again, to use the correct cooking utensils. Basically, use containers that are specifically designed for cooking in the...
Conflict Mistakes
One of the questions I receive most often from my newsletter subscribers is what do I do when I ve blown it. As one good friend said: I forgot all the great ways I know to address a conflict. I reprimanded an employee by basically attacking her character. But things feel awkward, and I m wondering if there s something I can do to help the situation besides apologize. First, this person did just the right thing she apologized , and she didn t wait too long to do it. It s important to remember that we all react occasionally in ways that we think better of later. Once you apologize, give it time. Continue to center, breathe, smile, and treat the employee with respect. In addition, hold the vision that with time your relationship will be back on the right track. Visualize how you want the relationship to look as you continue to work together, and begin acting on that vision in your daily communication. Think of a physical wound--it takes time to heal. While it s healing, you...

Parkinson s disease develops when the neurons of the substantia nigra in the brain become progressively damaged and depleted. However the first signs of Parkinson s disease are not obvious until about 80 of these neurons, that are responsible for the production a neurotransmitter called dopamine which helps to control muscle movement, are damaged beyond repair. Thus the early symptoms are actually only seen for the first time quite late on in the disease. Fortunately there are a number of signs that point towards the development of the disease and so watching out for these can have positive effects on diagnosing Parkinson s disease as early as possible. The Roll of Oatmeal Porridge in a Healthy Diet Oatmeal, or porridge if you live outside the US or Canada, play a major role in our modern diet yet few seem to know the true health benefits it gives.
